When question says… Write/demo… Success condition
LAN with router and switch Router 2 interfaces + 2 subnets PC1 ping PC2 succeeds
Bus/Star/Ring/Hybrid Hub/switch arrangements + IP + Simple PDU Connected PCs ping; PDU Successful
Ethernet LAN / VLAN vlan 10, vlan 20, assign switchports Same VLAN succeeds; inter-VLAN fails without routing
Static routing / RIP / OSPF / IPv6 2 routers + separate routing sections S, R, O routes as appropriate; ping succeeds
DHCP / NAT / ARP / ICMP DHCP pool; NAT/PAT; Wireshark filters ipconfig receives DHCP IP; NAT translations after traffic
TCP / UDP sockets TCP SOCK_STREAM vs UDP SOCK_DGRAM Server and client exchange messages
DNS / HTTP(S) nslookup, dig, DevTools Network DNS address; HTTP status 200 if reachable
Python REST / ping / tracert / netstat requests.get and Windows commands HTTP status and network command output
Encryption XOR / RSA Same-key XOR; public/private RSA Decrypted text equals original
WPA2 in Wireshark EAPOL four-way handshake observations EAPOL M1–M4 if supported capture is available

Universal exam writing structure

AIM (2 lines) → REQUIREMENTS → TOPOLOGY / ALGORITHM → PROCEDURE / PROGRAM → OUTPUT (relevant sample) → RESULT (one line).

Answer relevance: Do not claim VLAN success for a routing question or write a TCP client-server program for a REST API question. Reuse only the common structure; adapt the commands/algorithm to the question.
